Hong Kong - Society Editor for Tatler Hong Kong | There is a reason why Chalhoub is a leading partner for luxury across the Middle East—the company has an acute understanding of the market and is always thinking ten steps ahead. The goal is to be the best you can be, and the company instils that in you from the very beginning. Mediocrity is not an option and you are taught that no task is beneath you, if it means getting the job done. With every product launch, VIP party or collaboration we executed, we came away feeling proud of the work we did and the teams we did it with, because they became part of our extended family. That’s the goal— to come away feeling like your work meant something, and at Chalhoub it always did.

Dubai and Provence (France) General Manager at O&RA COSMETICS Europe, UK, Dubai | I also learned how to work with agility and flexibility, while always looking at the bright side when business challenges arose: a problem is an opportunity to progress. I got the chance to manage a CSR project dear to my heart and to the group, which led me to be a finalist at the Chalhoub Excellence Awards in 2014. Since 2017, I got additional certifications in one of my passions which is the teaching of yoga & mindfulness. I have also invested more time writing for my wellness blog. Meanwhile, I got the opportunity to learn more about the luxury online industry. Since 2018, I have been appointed as the General Manager of a start-up company, ORA Cosmetics, creating 'made in France' skin care products for the retail and the online global market. I built this new brand along with several products concepts, covering skincare and hair care, using safe and clean formulas inspired from holistic beauty, traditional knowledge, and nature's wisdom. |
Dubai - Multi Commodities Center (DMCC) | After leaving Chalhoub, I joined Amazon.com and was assigned as part of the HR team to setup the HR MENA hub for this region. My role was to design the implementation for the HR tool deployment as well as the integration of the HR policies and procedures between Souq.com and Amazon.com (the biggest acquisition in Amazon history). I later took on an HR Business partner role with DMCC (semi-government) to work on enhancing the people experience through multiple HR channels. |
